Psychological Safety
Course

“Psychological safety” has become a catchphrase.
What is psychological safety at work? The term refers to your ability to express your opinions at work freely without fear.

Psychological safety is the absence of interpersonal fear. Feeling psychologically safe enables individuals to perform at their best in the workplace.

Yet behind the bright lights lies a shadow side that too often goes unspoken.

The modern footballer must navigate far more than physical performance: they face complex emotional, psychological, and ethical challenges that can shape, or shatter, their careers and lives. Our services are designed to prepare future and existing players, coaches and managers not just for the game, but for the life that surrounds it.

This workshop is for

Everyone benefits from psychological safety, but this learning is invaluable for:

  • Teams or individuals whose success/growth is dependent on learning and feedback

  • Managers who want to improve trust and teamwork, whether for office or deskless teams

  • Teams where safety and well-being are paramount, or where work is high-risk

What they’ll learn

How to identify the presence or absence of psychological safety and apply the ‘Four Golden Rules’ to foster respectful, inclusive environments. This will empower learners to embed psychologically safe practices, ensuring that individuals feel confident in speaking up, sharing their thoughts, and expressing their emotions.

Description

According to Gallup studies, psychologically safe organisations are 50% more productive. Psychological safety is the most crucial factor in high-performing teams, enabling employees to feel confident and do their best work every day. Yet this complex topic often goes undiscussed, making it a challenge to recognise the absence of psychological safety, which can have a significant and lasting impact.

Cultivating psychologically safe workplaces enhances well-being and engagement, reduces employee turnover, fosters open and honest contributions, and drives creativity.
